Chapter Meeting
As a not‐for‐profit organization, the Inland Northwest Chapter of ASTD serves Workplace Learning and Performance Professionals (WLP) in their ongoing professional development and provides networking opportunities throughout Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. We typically have 40-80 individuals attend our keynote/workshops which are offered to individuals and companies within our community and surrounding areas. Our goal is to break 100 attendees for our keynote events this year and be able to continue to bring in more "Top Notch' national speakers for 2012.
Our chapter offers 10 events per year, of which 5 are formal keynotes and/or workshops featuring outstanding speakers from across the country who have been carefully chosen to speak on topics that will have a relevant impact on your every day work place opportunities and challenges. Our first two events were very successful and the three remaining events are:
- In June, Wendy Kirkpatrick will be featured, speaking on ‘Training on Trial: the Urgent need to Become Strategic Business Partners’,
- In September, Lisa Downs from the National ASTD will deliver ‘Solving the Leadership Development Puzzle: Implementing Leadership Programs at Three Levels’
- In November, Vital Smarts will return to Spokane with “Change Anything, the Science Behind Personal Success”.
In order for us to keep registration costs down for our members and guests and off-set the costs to secure these speakers, we rely upon corporate and institutional sponsors. Sponsorship of these meetings is a great way to support our professional association, gain exposure and build name recognition for a low cost. In addition, reinforce that your organization values, understands and supports the role of Learning Professionals and a higher skilled workforce.
