Lee is retired, but previously was an Information Technologies Consultant. In that

applications. He is an avid golfer, and lives in Spokane with his wife. He has 4 children.

Chris is assistant professor of Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University and a lifelong
student of the individual and society. He lives in Post Falls with his wife and two sons.

Barbara Baumann
Barbara is currently the Training and Development Manager for URM Stores Inc. in
Spokane. She has worked in the field for just shy of 20 years working for small and
large companies designing and delivering training of all types. In her spare time, her
passion is working with shelter dogs and rescue groups in the area.

Mary Ann Henderson
Mary Ann is currently the education coordinator at Shriners Hospital for Children in
Spokane. She is responsible for coordination all educational offerings for staff, patient
families, and volunteers.

Nathan Nypen
Nathan, SPHR, is currently the Director of Training and Development for Red Lion
Hotels Corporation. He has worked in the field for eight years wearing many hats from
OD to HR employee relations. Nathan is constantly studying corporate culture and how
individuals interact within it. He is married and has two beautiful daughters.

Vicki is Director of Training & Development at SL Start, where she has worked since
1990. She loves inspiring people to see things from a fresh perspective and to develop
confidence in their own abilities through training. Her background is in Human
Resources. She is married and has one grown daughter.

Dan Suhr
Dan, CPLP, currently serves as the Director of Learning and Development for the Coeur
d’Alene Site of Center Partners. He is an active proponent of participant centered
learning in an organization that provides training for three major clients and hundreds of
students annually. He currently resides in Hayden, Idaho with his wife and daughter and
has three grown sons.

Corey Ross is changing careers and entering the Training and Development field. He is
currently studying to get his Training Specialist Certificate through the University of
Washington. Corey plans to be a sales trainer in the financial services area. He is a big
sports fan of the local teams and Denver, where he lived for five years.

Terry Canfield

Advanced Training Associates where Terry Canfield is a Consultant, Speaker, and
Trainer. His 25+ years in Emergency Services have included creative problem solving,
organizational communications, and course design. He has delivered three babies;
including his daughter at home.
