As a professional, you want to provide valuable, measurable results to
your organization.  The  CPLP™ designation distinguishes you from other
job candidates by demonstrating what you possess an in-depth
knowledge of and can demonstrate expertise in the diverse workplace
learning and performance field.

THE
CPLP™ addresses the nine areas of expertise based on the
middle tier of the ASTD Competency Model
.
The ASTD Competency Model provides a strategic road
map for today's successful learning and performance
professional.  There are three groups to the Model:

  • Roles are groupings of targeted competencies. They
are not job titles. An individual’s job may encompass
one or more roles, similar to different "hats" that one
    might have to wear.
  • Areas of Expertise are the specialized
knowledge/skills an individual needs over the
foundational competencies. An individual may need
expertise in one or more areas.
  • Foundational Competencies define relevant
behaviors for learning and performance professionals
    to varying degrees.

Message from the President

We are proud to present Darren Short, Director of
Global Learning & Development at Avanade, Inc
and
Jill Mussman, Training Director at Boeing
Employees Credit Union who will jointly present a
noon-time keynote "Successful Virtualization:
Converting In- person Courses to Virtual Training
without Reducing Impact."

After a short break, Darren and Jill will expand on
the keynote with a workshop.

We have had the honor to have both Darren and Jill
speak in 2006 and they both drew a large turnout,
and received excellent reviews:

-
Great speaker – cutting edge stuff ... Very motivating ...
Great examples and a super presentation ... Excellent!
- Jill was fabulous – inspirational and got me thinking in
some new ways – that I hadn’t thought about before.

Who should attend: Anyone who wants to learn
more about the technology of virtual training and how
it can both improve and reduce training costs.

Please note that we will be having the meeting
this month at the Red Lion Templin's Hotel on
the River in Post Falls, Idaho.

We are committed to providing presentations and
workshops that will inform, refresh, and inspire.
